VT Magazine features IS alumna & UN official
International Studies alumna Kelly Tallman Clements, a member of the Class of 1988, is profiled in the Virginia Tech Magazine's recently released Winter 2016 issue. Clements is the deputy high commissioner of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees' (UNHCR), an agency that works to protect the rights and provide assistance to displaced refugees and migrants around the world.
Clements, who was appointed to the post this past summer, now resides in Geneva, Switzerland, having moved with her family from Northern Virginia. She has been working in the public service sector since her graduation from Tech, previously with the U.S. Department of State.
